SUDAN DIVESTITURE LEGISLATION

FRIDAY, JANUARY 19, 2007 AT 4:30 PM

Senator Ken Cuccinelli will conduct a live webcast from Chantilly, VA to discuss his proposed legislation to require the Commonwealth of Virginia to divest any of its funds that are invested in companies which support the genocidal government in Sudan. This legislation will be introduced in the current 2007 General Assembly Session. Senator Cuccinelli will be joined by Congressman Frank Wolf (10th District, VA) who will address the implications of the genocide in Darfur on U.S. national interests. Several high school students will also speak on what young people can do to make a difference on this issue. The webcast will close with a Question and Answer Session with Senator Cuccinelli and Congressman Wolf.

The webcast will be broadcast live from the TV Worldwide Studios in Chantilly at 4:30 pm. All students and adults are welcome to attend in person. However, if you unable to be there, you can Watch the Live Webcast and Participate in the Q&A Session on your computer. If you are unable to watch the live webcast, the recorded webcast will be available for viewing at this website in a few days
