Wayne
G. Moore is Audit Director of E. I. DuPont de Nemours &
Company based in Wilmington, Delaware.
He
has over 29 years of audit experience. Prior to joining DuPont,
he was with Arthur Young & Company and Conoco.
Wayne
is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors' Philadelphia
chapter and a former member of the Pittsburgh chapter and
has served on the Board of Governors of both chapters. He
is currently Vice Chairman of Strategy for The IIA's Research
Foundation and has served as Chairman of the Internal Auditing
Standards Board and The Foundation's Vice President of Research
and Chairman of the Board of Research Advisors.
He
was project manager for the following Research Foundation
publications: The Outsourcing Dilemma: What's Best for Internal
Auditing; Evaluating the Effectiveness of Internal Audit Departments;
Internal Auditor's Role in Management Reporting on Internal
Control; The Role of Internal Auditors in Environmental Issue;
and, Improving Audit Committee Performance: What Works Best.
He also co-authored How to Develop a Code of Conduct with
Dr. Mortimer A. Dittenhoffer, CIA, and is a contributor to
other internal auditing publications.
He
is a graduate of Penn State University. He is a frequent speaker
at IIA chapter meetings and conferences.
