Sheryl
is the managing partner of the Enterprise Risk Services practice
within Deloitte & Touche's Pacific Northwest cluster of
offices. In that capacity, she oversees a group of nearly
60 professionals providing risk management, internal audit,
information technology assessment, and analysis services to
companies in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah.
Sheryl
has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting
and consulting. As a CPA, she spent 15 years within the financial
audit function of the Firm, working with companies from nearly
all facets of the financial services industry, including banks
and thrifts, mortgage bankers, securities broker/dealers and
insurance companies, along with serving several large consumer
industry clients. She has acquired extensive diversified experience
with the requirements for financial reporting of publicly-held
companies, as well as regulatory reporting requirements of
OTS, FDIC, and SEC.
For
the past five years, Sheryl has been a leader in the Firm's
efforts to develop a market for and deliver high-quality internal
audit services to major companies. Currently, Sheryl oversees
the delivery of risk assessment and internal audit services
to several large Pacific Northwest-based companies.
Beginning
in late 1996, Sheryl led the efforts to enter a new market
for professional services in the Pacific Northwest, focusing
on technology and operational audit needs. For the past 5
years, Sheryl has focused on growing and developing both the
marketplace and qualified professionals to provide Enterprise
Risk Services to companies headquartered in the Northwest.
Her team, and related revenues managed, has achieved five
consecutive years of double-digit growth.
Sheryl
is a graduate of the University of Washington, cum laude,
1982. She is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors,
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Washington
Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Washington Financial
League. Sheryl is a Washington-state licensed Certified Public
Accountant, and a Certified Risk Management Professional.
Sheryl also serves on the Board of Trustees for Ryther Child
Center, and as a member of the 2002-2003 Capital Campaign
Committee for the YWCA of Puget Sound.
