Patricia E. Scipio is Vice President, Auditing at Wellchoice, Inc/Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield in New York. Ms. Scipio previously held the position of Senior Regional Audit Manager at Texaco responsible for audit offices in New York, London and West Africa. Prior to that, she was Director, Internal Auditing at Verizon (formerly Bell Atlantic), and held several positions at NYNEX Corporation as Director, Affiliated Interest, Director, Finance and Comptroller, and Chief Financial Officer for the Western New York Strategic Business Unit. She also served as Corporate Controller for New Jersey Transit Corporation and held various accounting and auditing positions at Hoffmann-LaRoche, Inc. and Arthur Young & Co.

A graduate of Bernard M. Baruch College with a BBA in Public Accountancy, Ms. Scipio also holds an MBA from Columbia University. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Cash Manager and a Certified Internal Auditor. Patricia currently serves as International Treasurer for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and previously served as Chapter President for the Westchester/Fairfield IIA Chapter as well as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees for the IIA Research Foundation.
