Norman
Marks is the Vice President, Internal Audit at Solectron Corporation,
a $12bn global provider of manufacturing services for electronics
companies. Prior to that, Norman was the General Auditor at
Tosco Corporation, a $28bn independent refining and marketing
company, for more than ten years. He was also with PricewaterhouseCoopers
for 10 years, first in London and then in Los Angeles. Norman
has a background in both financial and IT audit, and spent
a number of years in IT line management.
A
frequent speaker at IIA and MISTI events, Norman has also
been recognized for his contributions to the theory and practice
of internal auditing, notably through two articles which have
appeared in the Internal Auditor magazine. Norman has been
profiled for his innovative practices at Tosco in the AICPA's
Journal of Accountancy and The IIA's Tone at the Top.
Norman
is on the editorial review boards of the Internal Auditor
magazine and the ITAudit web site. He serves on The IIA's
Communications Advisory Committee and chairs the Web Advisory
Committee.
