Jim
DeLoach is Managing Director of Protiviti, Inc. in their Business
Risk Solutions division, based in Houston, Texas. He specializes
in business risk management audits.
He
authored the first book ever written on enterprise-wide risk
management, Enterprise-wide Risk Management: Strategies for
Linking Risk and Opportunity published by Financial Times
in 2000. He also authored Managing Business Risk: An Integrated
Approach, a pioneer publication in this field. He designed
the first comprehensive risk language, The Business Risk Model,
a framework copied by every consultant today. Jim has consulted
with and spoken to thousands of executives representing thousands
of companies in 26 countries throughout the world.
He
has provided advice and counsel to clients for over 32 years.
He is Protiviti’s leader in the firm’s market
offerings of enterprise-wide risk management and governance
services. He writes The Bulletin, Protiviti’s publication
on governance-related issues and recently wrote Frequently
Asked Questions Regarding the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Executive
Certification Requirements and Guide to the Sarbanes-Oxley
Act: Internal Control Reporting Requirements,
Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs.
