Andy
Dahle is a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in its Internal
Audit Services division based in Chicago, Illinois. He has
over 11 years of internal audit experience. He has worked
with both Internal Audit Services – Cosourcing and Internal
Audit Advisory Services.
Andy’s
client assignments currently involve not only internal audit
and Sarbanes-Oxley Act work in the United States, but also
on three other continents. He is a regional industry leader
of PwC’s global risk management solutions practice that
includes internal audit services as well as specialized risk
management expertise. He has helped various organizations
and internal audit leaders design, improve, and deliver high-quality
internal audit services.
Over
the last several years, Andy has spoken at an array of major
conferences on topics including internal audit best practices,
COSO internal controls implementation, internal audit standards,
governance, and, more recently, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, about
which he is a subject matter expert.
He
has served as a member of the Internal Auditing Standards
Board from 1999 to present. This group developed and recommended
the revision of the Standards for the Professional Practice
of Internal Auditing that became effective January 1, 2002.
Andy
is a past president of the Chicago chapter of The Institute
of Internal Auditors and currently serves on the Board of
Governors. He received the Certificate of Excellence Award
for the Certified Internal Auditor examination.
Andy
is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, Illinois CPA Society, Information Systems Audit
and Control Association, and the Association of Certified
Fraud Examiners.
He
received his Bachelor of Accountancy degree and a Master of
Accounting Science degree from the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign.
