Personalizing the Vietnam War
This session will present several ways in which students can honor local servicemen who died in the war. In order to learn about local “fallen heroes,” students use library, Internet and community resources. These projects not only have helped connect students to their local community, but also have positively impacted the lives of some of the families of those who served. Presenter: Diana Bogart Ms. Bogart teaches at El Cajon Valley High School (El Cajon, Calif.) and is a member of the Teach Vietnam Teachers Network.
