Our research over the past two years started out focused on the 30- year history and impact of CISE, but we quickly realized that that story could not be told in isolation from the 30 preceding years. In this talk we will very briefly recount our process and then give an overview of this 60-year history with a few interesting items (for example, the role of John non Neumann). We will conclude with a short description of our results and a Q/A session.
