On November 10, 2008, the Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE) released the Partnerships for International Research and Education (PIRE) solicitation. This solicitation announces a new NSF sponsored program initiative with a full proposal deadline in September 18, 2009. The PIRE Webcast Full Proposal Panelist Briefing will be convened at the National Science Foundation headquarters in Arlington, VA on Friday, October 30, 2009 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The Webcast Briefing will be done in a Room 565 in Stafford II, with the webcast Powerpoint presentation.
The PIRE Webcast Briefing will discuss the program scope, relevant research and education direction and themes, international dimensions of the program, nature of partnerships, models of collaboration and institutional change, and review criteria and other issues of concern to panelists invited to review the PIRE full proposals. NSF program official(s) will be present to comment and respond to questions.
