Background Information
On November 10, 2008, the Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE) released the Partnerships for International Research and Education (PIRE) solicitation. Preliminary proposals, which were due February 26, 2008, have been evaluated and a limited subset of those submitted have been invited to submit full proposals for the September 18, 2009 deadline. The PIRE Interactive Webcast: Invited Full Proposals at the National Science Foundation headquarters in Arlington, VA will discuss: program objectives, international dimensions of the program, details of documents required in full proposals, recent changes to NSF policy and/or to the program solicitation and other issues of concern to teams invited to submit full proposals. NSF program officials will make a presentation and will respond to questions sent via e-mail before or during the webcast.
Please note that submission of a full proposal is by invitation only; invitations have been issued to those who submitted a preliminary proposal which was evaluated and found highly meritorious.
