Tom Groom

Tom Groom is the Senior Vice President of Business Development for RxHub LLC. His responsibilities include Business Development, Marketing and Communications, as well as Federal Affairs. Along with those responsibilities, Mr. Groom provides advisory and leadership roles to e-Prescribing initiatives throughout the country, such as SEMI (SouthEast Michigan Initiative) and ePrescribe Florida. Mr. Groom has more than eighteen years experience in sales management, general management and business development in both the health care and information technology industries.

Mr. Groom’s background includes serving as Vice President of Business Development for HealthNexis LLC, a health care technology and services company founded by AmeriSourceBergen, Cardinal Health, Fisher Scientific and McKesson. At HealthNexis, Mr. Groom developed relationships with technology partners that successfully executed the business plan.

Previously Mr. Groom was Vice President of Business Development for ReTurn Inc. where he provided business plan development, business operations, and implemented a product development plan that successfully executed the business plan. Mr. Groom held various management positions at McKesson where he developed and implemented marketing and sales strategies for the home care distribution division. He also played a key role in the development and implementation of hand-held and Internet-based order entry systems for the Extended Care division.
