In the wake of controversy over the Dubai Ports deal we have seen the issue of port security rocket to the top of the list of issues reported in the national media over the last two months.  Caught in the midst of this controversy is this month's guest speaker, Mr. David C. Sanborn (KP '73), President Bush's top pick for U.S. Maritime Administrator and a ranking executive at Dubai Ports World.  While Captain Sanborn recently withdrew his nomination for U.S. Maritime Administrator and Dubai Ports has agreed to sell its U.S. port operations, there is still much to talk about.
