Dr.
Charles R. Moore is a board certified ophthalmologist who
has performed thousands of refractive procedures since
1979. He is a diplomat of the American Board Of Ophthalmology,
a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive
Surgery, certified by the American College of Eye Surgeons
and fellow of the International College of Surgeons.
Dr. Moore graduated from Lamar High School in Houston,
Texas A&M University, and the University of Tennessee
Medical School. Following an internship at Hermann Hospital,
he served as captain and flight surgeon in the U.S. Army
between 1964 and 1966. He completed his ophthalmology residency
at the University Texas Medical Branch Houston.
In 1974, Dr. Moore became one of the leading innovators
in lens implant surgery. From 1974 to 1979, Dr. Moore helped
train thousands of ophthalmologists in the U.S. and abroad
in advancing techniques of intraocular lens implants surgery.
Dr. Moore’s interest in refractive surgery first
manifested itself in 1979. He conducted courses on visual
optics at the American Academy of Ophthalmology from 1972
until 1985. He has been a frequent speaker at the American
Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgery, the Contact
Lens Association of Ophthalmology and many ophthalmologic
associations in the U.S. and throughout the world. In addition,
he is the author of at least 50 published articles about
lens implant and refractive surgical techniques.
Dr. Moore
was the first doctor in Houston to exclusively dedicate
his practice to the keratorefractive field. |
