The Virginia Prescription Monitoring Program is a state-wide program designed to monitor the use of schedule II-IV prescription drugs by providing a central data resource in the Department of Health Professions of your patient’s prescription history.  This conference will present best practices and risk management perspectives in the prescribing of controlled substances.

The Inova Office of Continuing Medical Education designates this educational activity for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  The event is free, and there is no processing fee for CME.
