The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) is pleased to offer Generation Green on Board: Youth Summit to Advance Public Transportation as a virtual experience!

The “Youth Summit” is an excellent opportunity for high school students to engage with current professionals who are addressing transportation issues such as preserving the environment, advocating for a higher quality of life, and innovating solutions with the use of technology. Students throughout the nation will teleconference with APTA members.

Groups from the class of 2011 will deliver a short presentation on the power point they created during the 2011 Youth Summit in Washington, D.C.

The goals of the virtual conference are:

• to expose high school students and “Youth Summit” alumni to APTA members; 
• to experience the professional communication in today’s global world;
• to practice public speaking skills while learning from peers;
• as well as to help students plan the necessary steps for a successful future career.
