"In Celebration: A Decade of Firsts" is the theme for the 10 th Annual Gala Dinner for the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS), to take place on Thursday, May 6, 2004 in Washington, D.C. Honored at the gala were:
"APAICS is celebrating our 10 th year by recognizing and honoring political milestones at the top of the political ladder attained by members of the Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) community in the last ten years. For the first time in history, we have two APIA Cabinet Secretaries serving in an Administration. We also have the first APIA governor in the continental U.S," stated Clayton S. Fong, APAICS Chair.
The APAICS 10th Annual Gala Dinner,
with the three trailblazers of the Asian Pacific Islander American community, Norman Mineta, Elaine Chao, and Gary Locke, is available archived in Real Player and Windows Media Player. The event will be Webcast on www.tvworldwide.com.
