December 4-5, 2002

TVWorldwide.com, a fast-growing web-based global Internet TV network and streaming video service provider, announced that it had been selected to webcast the 2002 Maryland Technology Showcase, live from the Baltimore Convention Center, December 4-5, 2002.

The event will be archived for viewing at www.tvworldwide.com and www.mdtechshowcase.com. Participants should have the free Real Video Player installed prior to the event and should log on by 9:45 AM EST on December 4 for periodic coverage of the event through 4:00 PM EST on December 5.

E.J. Krause & Associates, Inc., announces a series of major enhancements to the 8th Annual Maryland Technology Showcase (MTS). As the largest exhibition of the area’s technology buyers, this year’s event features real-life case studies by government, commercial and educational technology leaders in an effort to promote technology innovation throughout Maryland. MTS will run December 4-5 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

The additions to the MTS include two CIO Roundtables, a Robotics Zone, a Technology Theater, an Web casting Media Hub and a Special Invitation Program as part of the free conference program. The CIO Roundtables will run simultaneously on the first day of the event, with one focusing on the public sector and the other on the private sector. The roundtables will use real examples and implementations to discuss pressing issues such as technology evaluation, adoption, deployment and management at a time when CIOs are expected to drive more efficiency and productivity from their technology investments than at any time in recent history.

Another new feature is the Robotics Zone, which is an exhibition highlighting the winning robotics projects of K-12 students from across the country as part of a nationwide robotics competition sponsored by NASA. The 2003 Mid-Atlantic Regional competition will be held at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. The Technology Theater pavilion will feature an ongoing series of demonstrations and discussions by exhibitors, sponsors and selected speakers. The Media Hub showcases interviews, panel discussions and MTS highlights with a live Web cast. Finally, the Special Invitation Program on December 4th will allow exclusive attendees to tour the show floor before it officially opens so that they can speak with exhibitors in a more intimate setting.

The entire event is free for all attendees. Sponsorship opportunities for the Media Hub and Technology Theater are available. The Showcase is expected to draw over 300 exhibitors and will offer more than 60 educational sessions.
