TVWorldwide.com, Inc., a fast-growing web-based global TV network, has been selected by the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Fund to simulcast via satellite and the web, a live program highlighting the Veterans Day commemoration of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial’s 20th Anniversary in Washington, D.C. for American civilian and military personnel stationed overseas and media outlets worldwide. More than 20,000 Vietnam veterans, their families and the general public are expected to attend the Annual Veterans Day Observance at The Wall on Monday, November 11 at 1 p.m. The simulcast begins at 12:30 PM (EST) with a pre-commemoration show offering clips from pre-recorded events produced during the week, including a special musical tribute on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 from 1:30-11:00 p.m. on the Reflecting Pool Steps at the Lincoln Memorial featuring over 20 performers, including Paul Revere and the Raiders. Commentary and interviews prior to the event will also be offered including live on-line interactive chat and e-mail with participants worldwide.

For just the third time since The Wall's dedication in 1982, the more than 58,000 names of those men and women inscribed on the black granite memorial will be read aloud in Washington, D.C. November 7-10. Elements of the reading will also be included during the simulcast.

People around the world can tune to www.vvmf.org and www.tvworldwide.com to view the live commemoration simulcast where satellite coordinates will also be available for global media outlets in advance. The commemoration event is co-hosted by the Memorial Fund and the National Park Service. This year's speakers include Vietnam veteran Senator John F. Kerry (D-MA) and Lt. General Claudia Kennedy, USA (Ret.). Memorial Fund President Jan Scruggs will serve as the event's Master of Ceremonies.

On March 26, 1982, 100 Vietnam veterans in unison turned the earth on the National Mall breaking ground for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The black granite Memorial, inscribed with the names of those who were killed or remain missing in action, was dedicated on November 13, 1982. The Wall remains the most visited memorial in the nation's capital with 4.4 million visitors each year.
